Main students’ selection criteria

Candidates must be between 16 and 23 years old (to be eligible for employment once they graduate from HCTC) and come from disadvantaged families (based on household income, families’ professions, number of siblings, and living conditions). Students are selected on their socioeconomic situation and motivation.

Grade 9 at least

Training programmes & content

1. Multidisciplinary Hospitality & Catering Training (including cooking, restaurant and bar service, housekeeping and front-office)

The training programme includes theory and practice in all technical departments, English, general education, life skills (self-care, identity and culture, professional 5 integration, communication skills, environmental awareness) and extracurricular activities.

2. Hospitality Training for migrants and refugees in partnership with local and international NGOs for a 12-week training program

DURATION OF TRAINING

2 years including 6-month internship placement

CERTIFICATE AWARDED UPON COMPLETION

Diploma delivered by the school and the Mae Sot Technical College, recognized by the State
