There are 4 members of ASSET-H&C situated throughout the country and there is still greater potential for the association to spread further inside Vietnam.

While Vietnam has been experiencing a dramatic reduction in poverty in the past 25 years, the country still faces some development challenges. A significant portion of the population, particularly in rural areas and among ethnic minorities, is vulnerable to falling back in poverty and has limited access to decent job opportunities. With the rapid pace of urbanization, urban poverty is also increasing².

Finally, there is a critical deficit of training to match the needs of the growing tourism sector.
