On September 19, 2019 ASSET-H&C was honored by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) with their Grand Award 2019 for Education and Training. The award ceremony took place in Nur-Sultan (Astana), Kazakhstan. 4 Grand Awards and 29 Gold Awards were granted to acknowledge the achievements of initiatives that set industry standards for excellence and innovation, serving as outstanding examples for others to follow.

PATA is a not-for profit membership association that acts as a catalyst for the responsible development of travel and tourism within the Asia Pacific region. In partnership with private and public sector members, PATA enhances the sustainable growth, value and quality of travel and tourism to, from and within the region. The Association provides leadership and counsel on an individual and collective basis to its member organizations comprising 95 government, state and city tourism bodies, 25 international airlines and airports, 108 hospitality organizations, 72 educational institutions, and hundreds of travel industry companies in Asia Pacific and beyond.

The award winners were selected by an independent judging committee of industry experts among 197 entries from 78 organizations and individuals worldwide. This distinction brings international recognition to the work of ASSET-H&C and the 14 schools that form the network.

On May 29, 2025, school staff, trainers, social workers, and directors across the ASSET-H&C network gathered online for GetTogether #13—an inspiring knowledge exchange focused on the art of alumni engagement from KOTO (Know One, Teach One).

At the twelfth edition of the ASSET-H&C Get Together series, held on July 17, 2025, our members schools gathered for an interesting conversation confronting a challenge many institutions share: staff turnover. Under the theme “The Social Business Paradox: Staff Turnover Under the Microscope”, the session has unpacked the root causes of high turnover rates and explored collaborative solutions.
