Sharing is caring!

We are thrilled to welcome Shwe Sa Bwe as a new member of the network.

Shwe Sa Bwe is a restaurant and a training centre located in the vibrant city of Yangon, Myanmar. The school provides a 11-month Service & Culinary training program, which is offered to 20 – 25 local students every year, of which 50% is female, free of tuition.

The students are 17 – 25 years old from provinces of Myanmar, monasteries and orphanages, who show discipline, willingness, and motivation despite of their low income and limited family conditions.

200 young people from Myanmar have graduated from the school, most of whom are now employed. Certification received is from Shwe Sa Bwe and signed off by the Myanmar Chef Association Shwe Sa Bwe.

The training restaurant doors are open for bistro-style lunches and gastronomic dinners. Every aspect of your dining experience at the restaurant is performed by the students, under the close supervision of experienced teachers & seniors. They source local ingredients to offer you the freshest, and seasonal availabilities in Myanmar. The tasting menu changes every month, and they also offer a home-made selection of pastries and cakes.

Shwe Sa Bwe’s owner Davy Eek shared: “We would like to network with similar organizations for exchanges, improvement and more engagement to the center’s activities”, which is why ASSET-H&C is the place to be.

All ASSET-H&C members look forward to collaborating with Shwe Sa Bwe’s team and going further together.

Welcome onboard!
